Safeguarding

Safeguarding

The Church is the Church of Christ. Commanded by him, we seek to treat everyone with love. All who come into contact with Church should be safe, but the general feeling is that we owe a more obvious and special duty of care to children and to vulnerable adults. The Church is working hard to make sure that there are no dark corners to hide and no hidden dangers.

At parish level we are required to adopt the current Diocesan Safeguarding Policy (which is actually also the National Safeguarding Policy), and this was done at the Parochial Church Council meeting held on 22nd May 2019.

Everything you need to know can be found on the Diocese of Hereford Website  Policy Statement.

You can also get basic information by looking at the two posters in the Church Porch.
